You may be thinking, “Darcie’s off on holiday” and you might wonder where I’m going and what I might be wearing. Well, you can stop that right away. I have, so far, no plans to go on holiday. But, looking at the miserable weather, you can forgive me for imagining I’m in Spain or something, right? Yeah? Thanks.

So, on this imaginary holiday, I’d have my own pool and personal cocktail waiter (because on my imaginary holiday I’m also imaginary rich) and this post is about my imaginary swimwear wardrobe.

Swimwear has really gone up a notch this year from bone and skeleton prints to mesh, cut outs and occult iconography and I get the impression that both Killstar and Disturbia, as well as some others, have really put some thought into their swimwear. They’ve taken what they need from mainstream fashion (and judging by Topshop’s stuff, vice versa) and created some awesome bikinis and swimsuits that I would love to wear. Maybe next year…

One of the cover ups I’ve featured is actually from Topshop’s maternity collection, but I’m not trying to tell you anything, promise. The lace tie and the pom poms are just pretty and there’s no reason why non-preggers people can’t wear it too. The playsuit romper is probably more of nightwear, but it’s just as good for a day out or covering up by the pool. The low neckline means that it’s lightweight and breezy too, perfect for looking stylish on your holibobs.

Got any holiday wardrobe picks you’ve got your eye on? Any swimwear that you really love that isn’t on my radar?
